Who Are We?

The vision was there, back in 1992 when we purchased Te Mahia Bay Resort. We were captivated by the natural beauty of the bay, its enchanting beach and surrounding bush.

To enhance this even more, we delved into the wonderful rich history of Te Mahia as a holiday resort for thousands of holiday makers over the last century. The last 18 years have seen us undertake major refurbishment of the original buildings, giving them back their feeling of warmth and character with special personal touches. These are now known as our heritage units where the icon of the kiwi batch remains, but with all of today's modern home comforts.

To cater for the growing demand at Te Mahia by holiday makers, we built four new spacious motel units in 1996. These have been a tremendous asset and blend in beautifully with the original buildings at Te Mahia. In 2006 Te Mahia underwent another amazing transformation with the development of two new superb up-market waterfront apartments. These stunning apartments are fully self catering with magnificent views out through the phoenix palms. Adding to the peaceful, tranquil atmosphere, we have continued to establish the wonderful gardens for our guests to relax in.
